New to the Area-Need some good spots in FFX county!!

Featured Replies

Hey everyone! I just found this site and am trying it out for the first time. I am new to the fishing community here in fairfax county, and am here for the summer from ohio, and need somewhere to fish!! The weather the past few days has been unreal and ive been itching to find somewhere good to get out on the water and catch some nice fat bass!! Any suggestions would be great, I am thinking of heading out tomorrow morning to fish but would love some advice on places to go!! I have been fishing Lake audobon? in reston i think the past 2 days and have caught some decent fish but nothing more than 1.5 or so. Any suggestions? I am willing to get creative, fishing the city up in columbus lead me to some prettyyy odd places but i found em good up there so hoping to do the same here!! Thanks for the help everyone!

To name a few, Lakes Burke, Mercer, Huntsman, the Occoquan Reservoir from places like Fountainhead Regional Park. Do some searches for those.

I don't know western Fairfax, but if you search the forum you can find stuff.  There's a thread about Reston around here, for example.

Sounds good... i saw those and from what i've been hearing lately they don't sound too promising but i may try my luck down there on one of those. Is it worth getting a boat down there for the morning?
