I sent a PM to Carrington about finding the NAPA store on Southlake Blvd.

Park in the lot across the street from the NAPA store and adjacent to the lake. Drive slowly and you will see the parking lot by a small one story office building.

If I recall, the NAPA store is located at 800 Southlake Blvd. in Richmond, VA.

Good luck.  :)

I like that idea! I am always up for meeting new fishermen, especially Richmond people. Next time I am planning tp be in Richmond I'll put a post up and anyone game, we can pick a time and place to go fishing.

That sucks you didn't get anything there at Southlake. Flukes are usually the ticket for me there, but I assumed you threw them. Were the typical "worm drowners," out there?  Some of them throw like 1 oz. sinkers, or HUGE bobbers that I am sure spook the bass.

Gotta keep those worms from swimming away too fast you know.  They pretty strong swimmers and with the currents in lakes I prefer nothing under 3lbs just to keep them from swimming off.

i actually did not throw a fluke due to the fact i dont know how to work them, and i didnt have a red bookbag, mine was black.

I would suggest putting the time in to get good with them.  I never used them at all two years ago, and now Flukes are one of my favorite lures.  I think placing the hook correctly is the most difficult part of a fluke.  Of course, I say that because I can never quite get a hook properly into a worm.

ya i may have to do some research on them when i can get some cash flow going to afford them.

No, the place is not that good.

If you want to catch bream it is great.

I would hit the Morefield Park office complex ponds before Southlake or the big pond behind the Martin's grocery store on Huguenot Road.

I hear Wild Lake is great but have not fished it to date.

Get an ADC mapbook of the greater Richmond area and see all the ponds and lakes you can fish.  :)

Sam, how is the pond behind Martin's?
