yea i saw that post. i know things have changed since then. man at that time when you posted that i did bad on the lake. catching dinks.

but i have a small club tournament on the lake this weekend and havent even seen the lake in about 3 weeks

So Hows Okeechobee? Anyone been there lately?

I was there 12 days ago.  Seems like 1% of the area is holding 99% of the fish right now. Not fast action....I caught about 15 in six hours fishing, but decent size.  At least four were over 3.  Hand-to-hand combat (flippin) in the slop was the only thing that worked for me.  Spent some time looking for  schoolers on the outside grass edge, but never found em.

yea i feel like the schooling has broken up a bit. last time i was there i did bad and couldnt find schools. kinda scattered in small areas if that makes any sense?..

Makes sense to me...I was mostly on the southwest side. I think there may be some schooling activity on the south end near the shoals but I did not make it down there.

Anxious to hear other reports...I ran about 50 miles and only found fish in a couple spots.  But when you find them it's on...caught fish on five straight casts in one spot.
