Bass fishing near Mountain Home AFB Idaho

Featured Replies

Hey guys i was  just wondering if there is any bass fishing near Mountain Home AFB?  I was talking to a guy about going there. But i wanted to see if there was any good bass fishing near by. Because i dont want to get stuck at another base like here. Thanks for any help.

One of my favorite places to fish is on CJ Strike Reservoir.  It is not far from Mountain Home.  Google earth it.  If you get up here, I will go fish it with you.  It is 2 hours from me.

Hey thanks IDBASSER ya i just mapquested the lake from Mountain Home and its only 17 miles thats nice. do you know of any other lakes. i know the snake river is there i believe its the snake. is there any good type of fishing in the river.

I fish the river (yes it is the Snake) here for some good smallie fishing.  I have not fished the river in that location, I am not too sure about the depths and running my boat there.  There are two arms of the reservoir, one is from the Snake River, the other is from the Bruneau River.  I have only fished on the reservoir in that area.

I went to lineman college down there and there is a lake(forgot the name) just past Mountain home right next to the freeway.  I guess it would be east of Mountain Home.    It is an awesome little lake full of largemouth.  The Snake is pretty good everywhere I tried it and there is also an awesome bass lake in Nampa which isn't too far away.  Very good fishing around there.  Good Luck.
