I know this is a long shot, but I'm going to be in the San Luis Valley in Colorado for 3 weeks, and I'm trying to find out if there's anywhere to bass fish up there(preferably towards the west end of the valley, but any place someone has for me would be much appreciated).

I grew up in the SLV and was just back there last week.

The only places I am aware of that have bass are private farm ponds and reservoirs.

There is a stretch of the Rio Grande that probably has some, near Monte Vista, but the only area there that I know has bass is again, private.

Take some spooks, buzz baits, frogs, and spinnerbaits and fish the rio grande river around Alamosa for big Pike!

Good advice, thanks! I was in the Rio Grande for trout the other day, but I might have to get back down there for those pike.

if you are staying in delnorte or south fork, then you could drive over wolf creek to Pagosa Springs and fish Echo Lake.

That is where the state record was caught, and there are more fish in there like it.
