i've owned a cavitron buzzbait in black/black blade, but lost it to a large fish with 2 old line night fishing :-/ ..(yeah i know), and was wondering what the specific purposes for the red blade and for the gold blade are?

i'm rather inexperienced with buzzbaits and any help would be more than appreciated

i wouldnt think that the color of the blades would matter too much   im not sure  all my buzzbait blades are gold  i think  

imo, gold blades work great on cloudy days. chrome blades on sunny days and you almost always want to use a black/dark color when fishing at night especially when there is no moon.

Im with you there but I like a white blade on a cloudy day.
