Removing Egg from car

Featured Replies

ok so my car got egged yesterday by some kids LOL....the egg has dried in really bad ont the windshield and the door.

Wondering if you guys have any idea to get this stuff off. its really hard! Any certain products just for this?

Thanks -wm

Ick, what a mess!  As a window cleaner, I know exactly how big a pain it is to remove dried egg from a surface, and the best I can tell you is LOTS of HOT, SOAPY water.  Just soak it, wait a few minutes, scrub some, soak some more, scrub some more.  As for the windsheild, you can use a razor blade to scrape it off, but deffinately do not use it on the paint.  Maybe a plastic scraper, but even then I'd be worried about marring the finish.  The only other thing I can tell you is to hold your nose, 'cuz its gonna stink...

I've heard that dried eggs can damage the paint on a car, I don't know what might help you clean it, but I would hurry!

If there is any on the paint...GET IT OFF FAST!!!

My mustang got egged once by some jealous rice boys...that stuff will eat the paint in a hurry.

Let us know the outcome and if it came off.  ;)

I have done exactly what troutfisher said. I sat out on Halloween night after all the Trick-Or-Treaters had called it a night and guarded my property with my friends paintball gun. Nailed some would be TP-er's and eggers. Needless to say their retreat was quick. ;) Better than what was used in the olden days...a shot gun full of rock salt. My folks told me about those days. Ouch...

Y'see, when they know that they have someone to stop 'em, they won't do it. Some of the kids at my school did that to some people I know...made me mad.

Just park it outside a SHONEYS on Sunday morning some fat guy will think its part of the breakfast buffett and eat it off

That's the best Muddy....ROTFL!  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D
