College Courses

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I was just curious what courses could I take (major or minor) in college to better understand bass and increase my ability to catch them?

I was thinking about minoring in Marketing and majoring in something which helps me out with bass fishing. I can use that field to get a job in either fish marketing, fish biology or something else...

What would you guys reccommend? :-?

Dont forget Statistics and probability

Actually if you wind up going into something like fisheries sciences you'll be taking some statistics classes.  For a while thats the way I was gonna go till they cut all the state funding for fishery biologists, so I looked into alot of the classes.

Natural Resources.  That's more of the outdoors stuff.  I took NR classes for a year and I learned about different fish, trees, weeds and anything else that revolves around the side of a lake.

General Business might be a good one for the sponsor side of things.

I'm not sure I would take courses to "inrease my ability to catch bass" in college. You are paying for courses to educate you for your  career. Make sure you are pursuing a career and not a hobby. If those two cross paths than that's great, something like marine biology or environmental studies, etc, etc would probably good for you, but like I said, make sure you have priority on the most important thing.
