Me and my buddy are planning a fishing trip for the summer. We figured it may take a couple days, maybe a week. Were going to camp along the bank at night. I need some advice on how to get our tent, food, sleeping bags, etc., down to our next location without carrying all of it while were fishing. I was thinking that we could get up before daybreak, transport the stuff down and walk back up, the fish back down. If anybody knows an easier way to do this, I would greatly appreciate your help. And the trip is about 13 miles straight, but the crick makes a lot of turns, I estimated the crick is 15 miles at the least. I could use any advice that anybody has, please?

My ole fishin buddy and I did this sorta thing often on the wallkill river in New York.

We would park his truck at a bridge crossing, then drive my truck to the next one and fish our way back to his truck.

We didn't camp, but we would take a break about halfway.  There we would build a little fire on the bank and roast up some smallie's for lunch.

Those trips were some of the happiest days of my life.

Just my .02 but I would scout it out a bit ahead of time, and find some fish, and set up on them.  If you are only going to be there a short time there isnt much sence in moving around a bunch if you have some fish located.
