EATING RIGHT

Featured Replies

Yesterday I went to the doctor for my yearly physical. My blood pressure

was high, my cholesterol was high, I'd gained some weight, and I didn't

feel so hot.

My doctor said eating right doesn't have to be complicated and it would

solve my physical problems. He said just think in colors; Fill your

plate with bright colors; greens, yellows, reds, etc.

I went right home and ate an entire bowl of M&M's and sure enough, I

felt better immediately. I never knew eating right could be so easy.

Just think of what skittles could do ;D

Bright colors? I get them all I think

reds- red meat

yellow- beer

greens- jager.

fix as an ox here.

Not sure if this is total joke or 1/2 truth .  I also went to the doctors lately and got the opposite report but same warning.

Blood pressure-fine

weight-fine

cholesterol-dead on

BUT....I just turned 40 and was warned that all those perfect scores can change in a weekend.  Time to keep an eye on myself.

But I love M&M's too so I think I'll be fine :)

That's exactly what happened to me Russ. I was always 6' tall and 180lbs. BP was always perfect and cholesterol was good, then I turned 42. Everything turned to crap. Now I have to watch my diet, take pills and monitor my BP. The exercise thing is tough with my spine problems, but I do what I can.

I hope everybody over forty gets an annual physical. I can't stress enough how important it is.
