I just watched a Science Channel program on how quality cymbals are manufactured.  The process reminds me of the ancient manufacture of Samaria swords - layer upon layer of metals and then fused together.  From that point on, only true craftsmen work with the cymbal.  I was fascinated by the skill required.  It was like watching a violin maker, but these guys work with metal.  Awesome!

There ain't nothing like a hand hammered Turkish Zyldgin ride 8-)  They cost more than thier very well made American Models, but those Turkish Rides:  SWEET  the Bell is crystal clear and you can hit em with a hammmer and they still wouldn't have any build up.
