Just Bagged a Deer

Featured Replies

A hunter just bagged his deer as the game warden walked up.

"Where's your license," asked the warden.

"Don't know," said the hunter.

"OK, you're under arrest for no license.   Follow me to the road, and help me

drag the deer," said the warden.

"No way," said the hunter. "You drag it."

Two hours later, after the warden had dragged the deer to the road, the

hunter said,  "Now I remember, my license is in my back pocket!"

Sounds like something I would do TF. ;D

Frogtog,

Now you would be the man if you could get him to load it in the bed of the truck for you.

Trout,

Nice post.

I've had the game warden skin my deer on more than one occasion...

Then again, he's in my hunting club.  Too bad he retired.   :-/  Was nice to be able to check our deer in at camp rather than drag them to the store.

Here in NC we got a 800 number when you shoot one and tag it.

It's been a while since I have shot one but I believe the number is 1800 I GOT ONE

VA has had phone check-in for several years.  Until the last year or so, cell service at camp was very spotty.  Had to stand in one spot facing a certain direction in order to get a signal.

Starting this year, you can check deer and spring turkey via the Internet.  I guess I need a laptop and a wireless access card.  ;)

Maybe if you could get him to drive you to the game warden station next to your house and have him unload it for you, too.  ;D
