Need Some Prayer Guys

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I wanted to share something with you.  When I was little, I was first introduced to fishing by my Grandpa Edwards.  He had a camp up in the mountains we would always go to, and he would always take me and my brother fishing.  He was the one who really introduced me to the sport, the one who showed me how to tie the hook to the line, and how to remove the fish from the hook, etc.

As the years grew on, and I got older, he started fishing less and less due to health problems.  Whenever he possibly could though, he always took me, and we particuarly looked forward to the local trout stockings in the spring.  Some mornings it would be absolutely freezing outside, with extreme wind, but we would go anyway, sometimes with fish and sometimes without.

Now, my grandpa has been diagnosed with cancer.  He has been in the hospital for 2 straight weeks, and was just released two days ago.  Apparently, his cancer is in stage 4, the worst of the 4 stages.

I was just going to ask if you guys could keep him in your prayers and thoughts.  This has been a tough time for me and my family.  He has always supported me and my brother in our hobbies and playing bluegrass, and I always do the same for him.

Thanks,

Aaron

TF, I know what you're going through right now.  My mom had colon cancer about 5 years ago, but with support, she pulled through it.

Prayer is more powerful than any medicine.

Thanks guys, all prayers are deeply appreciated.

I will pray for healing but most of all that God's will be done.  Peace to you and yours.

TF,  I lost my mother to cancer exactly 20 years ago this past August.  She battled it courageously for 10 years before passing.  There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of her and she still teaches me things, even though she is gone.  Regardless of what happens to your Grandpa, his legacy and all that he has instilled in you will stay with you all of your life.  No one can ever take that away.

God bless,

Fisher
