Hackberry wood... any good for the fireplace?

I have a ton of seasoned hackberry wood. Is it okay to burn? It is quite gummy when alive.

    Yes it will work. It has a slight smell to it.

    Hackberry is almost the same density as ash.  It is often sold for ash in lumber form.  Excellent firewood.   ;)
