Barrett Jackson Auto Auction

Featured Replies

its been on since Tues night...some wicked nice cars went for monster $$$$ last night...I think it was a custom Shelby built by Barrett Jackson/Carol Shelby that went for 1.3 mil last night

Maybe thats where Redline Robert has been hiding the last few days

I'm not really a car guy but this show is addictive and I look forward to it every year in Jan when nothing else is on

Umbasser,

Were those beautiful cars or what?

What craftmanship we have in this country.

I can't imagine how the guys can do what they do on those cars.  When you think about it, you realize how talented the mechanics are.

And the money being spent.  I thought we were in a recession that only Hillary can fix.  There are some guys out there with some money or who are bidding for others with money. The winning bids can blow your mind.

So which one are you going to buy? ;D

Thanks to them camaros and mustnags have gone up. I saw a 67 or a 69 camaro rs replica go for 130,000. For crying out loud it went more then a yenko. I saw theres a lot of nice cars on there though. I really only watch for the mustangs. To me its a little boreing watching people buy cars that I could never afford.

When we look at the cars, we see a beautiful machine, we don't see the thousands of hours of hand crafted work.  Granted, the big $$ cars are the originals but even the upkeep on any show car is taxing.

Tipp- word of the day for you   **Aspire**  ;)

I liked the old school wagon with the boat.

A ton of time is put into these cars. My step Dad is very very into cars and collecting older ones. He has been waiting for his Chevelle for well over 3 years. It was only supposed to take 1. I will take pics when it gets here in the near future, it is an amazing machine, and the craftsmanship is out of this world. It looks like a new car on the inside, but old on the outside.

Lbh even If I had the money to buy one of them cars I wouldnt. The only way I would is if I saw nice looking Ferrari. I would rather build my dream car from the ground up.

I see the hammer price on a 1969 Mach 1 Mustang, like the one I used to own and realize I only paid $1600 for mine back in 1976.

What was I thinking?

I only WISH I had all the MOPARS that I've owned over the years! My first car was a 1959 Plymouth Fury and my second car was a 1958 Plymouth Sport Fury with the 350 FXE V-8 and 2 four barrels (a real Fury like Christine was supposed to be, not a Belvedere). I've owned 'Cudas, RRs, GTXs, Chargers, Challengers, and a plethora of other nice "muscle cars" like Mustangs et.al.  Geez, IF I had them now, I could hold my own personal auction:o) All I have now is my '69 Dodge 4 spd Hemi SuperBee (one of 92 built). It's my "retirement fund":o)
