what happened?  a computer and/or site question

Featured Replies

i was fooling around on this antique computer last night messing with settings trying to make it a little faster (big mistake, i'll never do it again) and somehow i've messed things up so that the bassresource site is different.  2 things i immediately noticed were that now no one's avatar pic shows up under their name and the window to type a message/reply/topic now only shows a color palette icon - nothing else.  no link icons, no quote icons, no smilies, nothing.  what do y'all think i have done and how can i fix it?  any and all help would be appreciated.  keep it simple if you can - i am a complete computer idiot.  thanks a bunch

were you adjusting the resolution?

were you adjusting the resolution?

Don't you have to do that on Dec. 31?

anything look familiar? I'm not really sure what the problem is, hopefully someone will be able to chime in.

edit: this post is probably useless, if you can't see pictures.  ;D

yeah, i've always used the system restore to save myself from my own computer stupidity in the past.  this was the first thing i tried this time, but the computer won't let me do one.  when i click on it, a white screen that says system restore in the top left  hand corner comes up, but that's it.  no writing, directions, or places to click.  totally odd.  that's never happened before.  i've tried accessing the restore several ways and i always get the same white screen and it won't go any further.  i'm gonn a try fooling with some of the stuff moe suggested.  thanks for y'alls help.
