Jackall Flick shake worm & wacky jig ?

Featured Replies

Has anyone fished the Jackall Flickshake and wacky jig? I have seen the Jackall web site but would like to hear how others are using this setup.

ive used the flick for a couple years now on a dropshot, but never wacky rigged...just an average worm in my oponion

reading your bassmaster magazine?   they are ok    i still like my zoom finess worms for my dropshot, shakey and wacky rigs

bought these last year but still havent tried them yet. I plan to this year eventually...

I caught a nice two-pounder on a bLuegill colored FLick Shake worm.

I've just started using them this year but so far, so good.  It's a different look for the fish which may be enough to get a reaction.

Yes this has been one of my go to baits lately. I fish it with a wacky with the wacky jig head. Bailed me out of my last tourney.

Try the cross tail shad on your dropshot.  big

When using the Wacky jig do you work the bait as it drops or do you just let it sink? If you don't get a strike on the drop how do you work the jig back to the boat?

I use this rig and it works very well.  In current you really do not have to impart any action, just barely keep the bait moving so it does not hang up.  You will get bit on the fall sometimes.  To achieve this, do nothing.  Just cast it out and let it fall on a SLACK line.  You will catch them.  The flick shake worm is a good one, I have used others with decent success too.

When not in current, "flick" your rod back and forth (up and down) and "shake" the worm is it moves from top to bottom, bottom to top... I usually throw it out, let it sink close to the bottom, then shake it up, then let it sink again and repeat.  You don't need the Flick Shake woms to do this. I use Zoom Finesse worms also, and they work. This is starting to be one of my new favorite techniques to use.

What rod, reel & #line do you use?

7 foot parabolic spinning rod, 200 or 250 size reel, and 6 lb. fluorocarbon.  Basically the same rig you would use for drop shotting.
