Back from Gulf Shores

Featured Replies

Got in last night.  Had a great time and the weather was great. Much better than here in Ohio thank god.  Did some bass fishing outside Birmingham Alabama and caught 4 or 5 nice keepers.  Didn't get a chance to do any offshore fishing in Gulf Shores but fished some brackish channels and got on 8 or 9 nice size channel cats with live shrimp.  IT sure is depressing to be back here, lol.  This trip just made me want to be back down south more than ever :)  Hope everyone had a good week.  ;)

Great p;lace to fish and live.

Hope you will return in the future and also give Louisiana a try.

Fantastic bass and saltwater fishing in Louisiana and the marsh is as strong as ever, even before Katrina.

Redfish fishing in the Biloxi Marsh or to the west towards Venice and Houma is the best in the world.

I usually go down to Panama City Beach, the "Redneck Riviera".   ;D

I love it down there.  Besides the offshore opportunities there's inshore along with the city water supply, Deer Pointe lake for bass and Talquin is only 1 1/2 hours away for bass as well.  I'm really longing to hit the beach again.

Glad you had a great time!  8-)

Thanks guys.  I had a great time.  I'm hoping to put back some money this spring and summer, and eventually try and move back to Bama by fall.  I love the south, and think I'm pretty much over the state of Ohio, LOL.   ;)
