Ear Coning

Featured Replies

I was gabbing with my brother yesterday.Talking about ,jeez we haven't shot the muzzle loaders in awhile, and somehow the conversation turned into ear coning and ear candles.Obviosly there's alot of really deep and heady conversation going on in my family. So my project today aside from giving the muzzle loader a tune-up,is to find out what I can about ear coning and ear candles. And perhaps purchase some ear candles,I frankly cant wait to stuff candles in my ears and lite them.So

1.Has anyone tried ear coning?

2.How did it work for you?

3.What type of ear candles do you like

4.What ear candles to avoid?

5.What other sorts of things would you like to stick in your ears?

peace jim

I was always taught never to stick anything in your ears bigger than your elbow>>>>OH OH , I misunderstood the question  my mistake

What the heck is Ear Coning.

I once saw a lady pu a rolled up news paper (coned shaped)in her kids ear, light it on fire to get the heavy wax build up out!

My dad's aunt used to used ear candles. I remember her saying that they stopped wax from building up. But I personally have no idea.

Some good coning pros and cons on those links,Thanks Dan.

I wasn't able to pick-up any ear candles locally,so it looks like its an internet order for me.I will stay clear of the colored candles as they seem to be stirring up quite a bit of controversy in the coning community.

thanks again jim.

Do you have a Chamberlins or Whole Foods market near you?  These are those places that sell organic foods etc.  They usually sell cones.

I live in such a granola town,I figured that people would be practicly throwing ear candles from their balconies, with folks just openly coning right on their front lawns.

Coners seem to stick to themselves,at least here in New Hampshire.

What exactly do they have to hide?

Thanks for the tip,Vic.We have an Organic market here in town,if anyplace has ear candles they will.I could even run into an ear coner.

thanks again jim
