Diamond Shad Eyes

Featured Replies

So I bought a few Strike King Diamond Shad and after I caught two fish I sat down to retie.  When I did this I noticed that both of the eyes had come off.  Is this typical of the Diamond Shad?  Doesn't strike king use an epoxy when they glue them on.  It kinda made me mad to know that the bait started to fall apart after only two fish.  Granted it didn't effect the action of the bait and they fish didn't seem to care much because I continued to catch fish. It just hurt its eye appeal to me.

Lifes rough. Take a sharpie and put new eyes on it.

Same problem with the red eye shad.  Fish didn't seem to care in my case either.  Maybe SK needs to make a No Eye shad.

So far, I haven't had any problems with my Red Eye Shad's or Diamond Shad's. After many fish the eyes are still attached.

I agree with Bass-Brat, just use a sharpie and color the eyes in. I do it on the baits I make, works fine.
