Banjo players???

Featured Replies

I'm interested in learning to play the Banjo and was wondering if there are any BR members who currently play? I'm looking at buying a Morgan Monroe Rocky Top Series Bluegrass 5 string banjo. Would some of you players please give me some advice on what I should buy and do? THANKS!!

troutfisher91 can lead you in the right direction, he's in a bluegrass band, they're pretty good too, a group of kids.

PM him, I'm sure he'll have plenty of resources for you.

Don't play the Banjo but I own one. It's a Obie I think, My brain moves faster than my fingers. ;D

Used banjos run $150-250 depending on quality, condition, and manufacturer.

I started playing the banjo about a month and a half ago. Its pretty easy to learn and lots of fun!  Get the best banjo you can afford, its worth it.
