Featured Replies

i just set up my live account today and was playing with my cousin when an electrical storm came through. the lights,tv,and xbox(computer did not) all cut off and came right back on. when i looked down at the xbox i had the red rings and turned it off immediatly and then turned it back on and had the usual green lights. i have turned it off and unplugged it till the storm passes but i am wonderign whether or not my conole is OK or not

thanks

After you powered it back up, if you had the green lights like normal, try to run it and see what happens.  I would guess you are ok.  As much as we all like to complain about 360s being so picky and tempermental, they can probably withstand a little bit more (not much! but a bit) than we give them credit for.  My machine has had the typical problems of freezing up with certain games.

Electricity is never good, but it sounds like you should be ok.  I had a problem recently where everytime I sat on my couch I would generate a lot of static.  Once I sat the controller on the coffe table while it was loading, when the loading was done I reached for the controller.  It is a corded controller, and when I touched the plastic curved portion that fits in your hand I got the shock of a life time, saw a huge white spark, and the screen flashed white, and then faded back into the normal color.  Scared me to death!  I can't even imagine how the plastic held the charge.  So now I don't sit the controller down if I am in static-inducing clothes!

Yeah you should be fine....Just start it up and play a few times to make sure.  I had the RARE event of the power going out during a save, and my profile became corrupted.....Lost all my achievements, game saves, everything...This was before I was on Live so I couldn't recover my GamerTag.......still recovering from it!
