Anyone Collect Sports Cards? (Baseball, Football)

Featured Replies

Any other fisherman collect cards?  Auto's, Game Used, and Rookie Cards?  If so, and if you have a favorite player and are looking to get a Autograph, or Game Used card of his... Post your player and I will see what I can get together.

I will be listing many of my cards on eBay, but figured I would post here to see if anyone had any interest in buying, or even trading for fishing gear.

I have mainly Baseball, and a few Football.

My collection of signed Elmer Valo MLB cards (along with his gloves, bats, uniforms, trophies) got mistakenly thrown out a number of years ago.  Need to rebuild the collection for a display in the rec room.  Got any?

Sold all my 49 through 54 Bowmans and Topps cards in 02.  Got an 01 Durango and an 01 Kia Sportage and some spending money out of the deal.  Kept one of the 51 Bowman Mantle cards though.

I don't have any Valo's at this time, sorry.

I can imagine... those years are the most looked for especially the Mantles... good deal you got on them to be able to get 2 nice vehicles and spending cash.

If you don't already have your 1 remaining graded either PSA or BGS that card can bring you in another $1,000.00 to $4,000.00 depending on the condition.  ;)

Let me know if any interest you.

Also, are any of you guys on trading sites at all?  Topps or The Bench??

I wish I woulda sold my Clemens rookie about two years ago.  :'( ;D

As far as autographed balls go, I have a cherry Mantle and a cherry Mays.  Both with COA.  I bought them on QVC when I was a kid for chump change, something like $40-60.

The one 51 Mantle was one of three psa 9 in existance.  It went for 15K+.  However the price of the older cards has come down some since then.  The one I kept is a strong psa 8, very slight off center.  I don't remember how many went through my bicycle spokes!   ::)

The PSA 8 still would fetch a pretty penny.  I remember using my cards on my spokes as well, but nothing near what you possibly have.

I have a sports room/bar in my house that has all kinds of signed memoriablia on display. I also just got my first signed bass angler picture to display which is really cool.

Same here....
