What is the difference between the two? Does one have an advantage over the other? I have used a yellow spinner bait for 2 weeks now. Only once has it been effective. Do the colors matter? If so, how do you know what color to use?

Generally buzz baits are brought in on the surface similar to  other top water baits.  Don't use them much.  The spinner baits, can be brought in slow, burnt, jerked and any other way you can think of.  Mostly I'll use dark or murky colors in the samre water conditions, and lighter or brighter colors in clear waters.  This is how it works for me.  Good luck.
