I read this book back in middle school when we had to keep reading logs. I loved it. I read that pretty long before I ever actually bass fished. I remembered it though.

if you live in florida, hiassen's novels are a must. last year i read his new book "scat" to my fifth grade class. they loved it as did i. "sick puppy" is a good one as well. in most of his novels, the same characters keep popping up.

if you are looking for a good read for a kid (and adults), "flush" is a good one.
