And it has begun!

Well hunting season in Iowa is on!  Got rid of the old lady last weekend, now I have time to hunt like mad and farm.  I got my first doe tonight about 35 yards out and put her down quick.  Saw one big boy hanging around but he would not cross a fence, but when the rut hits he is mine.  Going to stick another doe Thursday then work on the crops for a few weeks.  Then pheasant opener with the year and a half old phenom pup, then rut.  Man I love fall.  Althought snow this weekend will get me back in the stand.

Nice. It's hard to beat putting meat in the freezer.

How many yards was she away from you when you got rid of her .Was it more than the 35 yd. shot on the doe ?
