Oki Noodling

Featured Replies

I just watched the Oki Noodling II documentary on tv.  As an avid fisherman I was intrigued, however, WHAT ARE THEY THINKING????  was the look on my face for the entire show..... :o :-?

There is NO way in   I am going to stick my hand in the mouth of a 60lb flathead and let him bite me!!!!!!!!!!   The worst part was, my 10 year old is convinced that this is now his lifes calling and wants to know if I will find someone to take him noodling next summer.   I don't understand????????

There were some pretty scary looking individuals who looked WAY to happy to be "noodling"  I think there were like 4 toofs (not teeth) in the whole show

I could FATHOM and fathom alone doing it gin clear waters. With bluegill, ha. But you're right, no way in HELL would i do it in those MURKY chocolate milk water. With a flathead!? No, SIR!

The one Guy said "i ain't fraid of nutn in dem waters"

WELL, You stick your perfectly good hand in a monsterous flatheads mouth hoping it will bite you!!!    I guess your AREN'T :-? of nutn......

It's not a Flathead I would be worried about... it a turtle.

      I hear ya.

I saw a show on that, they had the one dude talking how he was face to face with a snake tons of times, or gators. The catfish is worse enough, but man...ain't no way. I will stick with the rod and reel thank you very much.

I guess you guys missed the 3 ladies who blind folded the host and cameraman so they could take them out to their honey holes?   Seems theres good money noodling tournaments in Oklahoma and they give no secrets away.   Kinda like bass fishermen!

These ladies did well by themselves.    I think 60 something was their biggest.  All agreed, its the big blues who do the most damage to the wrists and fingernails.

They were salty needless to say.

Think it was discovery channel.
