Let me preface this by saying I'm pretty good at my time management whenit comes to my career.

I had a meeting cancel yesterday afternoon, and thought instead of getting some extra cold calls or visiting some clients I could do a little fishing for 2 hours. My rod and tackle bag had already been transplanted there from a pathetic sunrise sessipon early in the day. Perfect, right?

It an hour and a half I caught 2 trees, 2 bluegill and lost about a 3 pound largemough at my feet. It doesn't stop there... I had only taken a couple things to the spot I chose, and my car was parked in California for all I was concerned. With that last hook I lost my mono leader and the only EWG hook I had. Okay, I throw them wacky with a 3/0 octopus.. I tied it straight to the braid chucked it out there 60-70 times, nothing.

I wrapped up left.

I had to walk through a slightly wooded are to reach my car, which seemed to be further than Fourbizz's hikes, and got stuck with hitchhikers along the way. Ya know, those effing things that attach onto your clothes and hang on with no remorse, yea, those.

I got back to my office with the owner sitting on my desk. Waiting for me, which is normal. But what's notnormal is for me to come in with 30-50 hitchhikers on my slacks and little to no explanation.

Needless to say, I'm still at the office working double the hours I missed.

Damnit!!

Look at it this way.  It could be worse, you could have come back to find the boss sitting at your desk and either :

A.  fired you

B.  Really known you went fishing because if you had caught more you would have smelled like fish.

There is always an up side :);)

yea, def could have been worse lol

x2
