He got to be most whiny person on earth. Before the game he told a reporter "Alabama doesn't have the best back, they are good team, but I got a plan for them." Then Mark Ingram gutted his defense for 246 yards, at that point my grandma can tackle better than Eric Norwood.

I may agree that Alabama doesn't have the best back, but they deserve respect. And Spurrier was way too cocky.

Here the funny part, if you take away all the field goals (the penalty for what we alleged did is 5 yards) we still beat Spurrier 12-6. I love the look on Spurrier face after the interception on 2nd play of the game and when Marquis Johnson knock the ball out of that WR hand at goal line not once but three times. Then again later in the game. Spurrier just cannot stand fact his players got out played.

Lane Kippen has nothing on the "ole ball coach" when it comes to one liners and bulletin board material for other teams, Spurrier reigns supreme when it comes to gamesmanship.

Some of his statements to other Universities.

   To Florida State:  Free Shoes U.    for the violations in the past.

  Georgia Tech Coach, Ray Goff became Ray Goof when refererred by Steve.

  Or to Philip Fulmer and the Vols, You can't spell Citruis Bowl with out UT in it!!!!  Which is given to the second place SEC team, normally Tenn.

Or when Manning returned for his 4th year, Spurrier replied,   Well, you can't spell Citrus without UT, and Manning is after his 3rd Citrus Bowl MVP trophy.

    Alls I know is, Florida hadn't won an SEC championship in the 57 years untill  Spurrier showed up, and that changed the SEC for ever.

   In late 89, Spurrier signed with Florida and the next season, the SWAMP was invented and the rest is history.

I give Spurrier heck since he's been at USC, but have utmost respect for what he has accomplised in a short career.    

    Taking Dukes program, yeah, the one that amassed a few losing seasons back to back from the grave and T-1st in the ACC was one of the best turnarounds considering we aren't talking Duke basketball.

Didn't the ole ball coach start the season off the same way as years past?   with some gamesmanship, he left Tebow off the all sec list.

I was not aware that football pants had pockets, other than to hold the pads on the thighs.

I love it when another coach pulls one over on Steve.  Like what Les Miles did to the Gamecocks with that fake field goal a few years ago.

For some reason, South Carolina does not attract the talent Florida draws but Steve seems to have USC in the SEC East mix each year, only to fall short.  

Gamecocks fall way short considering they only won 8 games once since Spurrier been there.  When does 8 games win the SEC?

not even a 10 game winning season with Holts there before.

  I'd agree on the recruiting isn't as easy from South Carolina.   Proof is in the pudding. 8-)
