White House Christmas Tour

Went to the White House today with wife and two friend's boys to see the Christmas decorations.

I was not totally impressed.

The decorations were nice, but I expected more and "happier" presentations.

The two boys loved it, especially when we spoke with three of the SWAT team guys, who were locked and loaded for WWIIII.

I asked the three guards where they were when we attended the LSU reception on the South Lawn in 2008 and President Bush was about 15 yards away.

They laughed and said that everyone was being watched and they were closer than we knew, meaning that they were in street clothes, mingling among the crowd.

If you get a chance, take the White House tour, and go at Christmas if you can make it. Even though I thought the decorations were on the drab side, it was still wonderful to tour the White House and see everything.

Anyone out there take the Christmas tour and if so, what do you think of this year's decorations? :)

WWIII has not arrived.

But when it does, those guys will be ready.

They looked like the characters in a video game.

They were loaded for war and I think they would win!  :)

When I met President Bush at a South Lawn event I saw those same guys. They didn't really hide the dudes in full body armor with sub machine guns and assault rifles...they were pretty much just standing around watching the crowd.
