My apology to Burley

Burley, I'm really sorry you had to watch Virginia Tech open that can of whoop--- on Tennessee tonight. I know you dont think too much of the mighty Hokies.

Happy New Year!  ;)

I'd rather not talk about this, either.

lol, I figured this thread was coming. I thought Tennessee was going to really challenge Tech but I guess I was wrong. Taylor really played well. I think Tech could do very well next year if Taylor keeps improving and Williams stays healthy.

I was more impressed with the play calling than I was with Tyrod. I always had a feeling that he could throw accurate passes and the long ball as well....they finally opened the playbook and let him do his thing. They have needed to do that for a few years now. It was good to see them go down the field, even when they didnt have to.

Plus, they kept playing until the door was fully closed on the Vols. In years past they would get a small lead and sit on it and it would come back to bite them more times than not. Good win.

What's your opinion Burley?

VT did play well. But I don't think that Tenn played as well as they could have. There were at least two long passes that were dropped that should have easily been caught.

But the best play of the game was Hardesty making a second effort spin to get into the endzone and away from two VT tacklers. That was about all the excitement my Vols gave me.
