underwater pump

Featured Replies

I'm trying to film some footage of swimbaits in action. In order to avoid having to go underwater, and having to use a swimming pool, i figured that i could use a fish tank/aquarium, and use a pump to generate current that will make the swimbait produce its action that would happen on a normal retrieve, but with this the lure will still be in place. What kind of pump would work for this?

aquarium pumps work pretty well

I think an aquarium power head is what you are looking for.

thanks. i got a powerhead, but it's not powerful enough

and its jet is too narrow (the bait just kind of moves to the the side of it)

i'm thinking about putting my transom TM in the tank ;D

Call ahead and make a reservation at the ER.  It may save your life.

Its very easy to make a diffuser bar out of pvc to fit the powerhead if you decide to get a larger one.
