hiking trip

Recommended Posts

I decided to spend fall break hiking in the Smoky Mountain. For some of the pictures you can noticed the lake in the far distance, that is Douglas Lake. I took these pictures with my phone, but from where I was sitting you can see the town of Dandridge (one of oldest town in Tennessee) along the shores of Douglas Lake. It was such a perfect day for hiking. The trail to that rock overlook was the Appalachian Trail, the rock formation was called Charlies Bunion.

The peak in the background is Mt. LeConte (3rd highest peak in Smoky)

The Appalachian Trail is on the right along the ridge, and those rocks in middle of picture is Charlies Bunion where the first picture was taken. This was a different overlook that you cannot find on the park's map. ;)

Very nice pictures!!!!!  You also have a very nice picture phone.

Help me out though, I am having the hardest time finding the lake in those pictures.  Can you tell me which one the lake is in?

Picture 1,3, 5 shows the lake in the background. You'll see a light blue color then dark blue. You can see it better with naked eye than with my camera phone. I need to get a real camera eventually. ;D
