I just was curious to know if trout will hit during the night. By this I mean 10pm-12pm. Also do you know of anything that will light up an area to make it easier to night fish? Maybe a lantern will work? I know flash lights but they don't light up a large area and there a bit of a pain.

Yea man, I think a lanturn will work. I got a cat fish and a eal last night. No trout tho. I don't know I think Trout willl hit.

Sure they will bite! Some  of the biggest browns bite at night.

If  you want use a crappie light or underwater light, check local laws first.

Use a deep cycle battery too. We night fish in a lake for trout using submerged lights. Sometimes we catch walleye, crappie and other assorted fish.

I know some people that fly fish at night for trout, I am not a fly fisherman but they catch fish.

We have fished White River at night and its good to great fishing but the water level changes due to power generation and its a scary thing to do. We use bait power bait or night crawlers, take some bug protection!!!
