trout and pike and bass co exsisting?

Featured Replies

I fish a local lake, about 1 square mile large. I see tons of trout, browns, rainbow, and sometimes lakers jump, escpecially the lakers at birds. However there are also huge populations of shiners, sunnys, bass and pike living there.

Wouldn't the pike and bass eat all the trout?

trout are about 10-25 inches long on average

Apperently not. ;)

I would think that a full sized rainbow or brookie would be too big for a bass or pickerel to eat. I'm not sure if a pike would bother. Its more than less the fry that gets sabatoged.
