I live in the KC metro area and i love bass fishin but i have kinda taken a (short) break from it cause im tired of bank fishing (no boat for me). i have been doing alot of catfishing lately at the big reservoir lakes (perry,hillsdale,clinton,pomona) and i have a few questions that maybe you guys could answer for me!!

1. on big lakes ,what is the best places to catfish ?( dam, spillway, flats, points)

2. Is using natural bait(goldfish,perch,shad, crawdads,worms) better than artificial bait (dough, stink, dip,)?

3. i am like everyone else and want to catch the big one,so what would you do  to make sure you catch the BIG one?

1. Catfish love structure, so find some stumps.

2. Yes. Most big cat hunters recommend live blue gill about the size of your palm, or a big chunk of mackerel.

3. Bigger bait usually means bigger fish, of course you won't catch as many as you would using smaller baits like dough/stink,... but if you're looking for a big one.
