From an email from my Uncle: I make no claims as to whether or not this is true, but the pics look OK to me.

"This is a new record Northern Pike in Canada. He caught it on

Rainy Lake. Check this thing out. The man (in the photos

below), was fishing and caught a 36" Pike. As he was reeling it

in, a 56" - 55lbs Pike tried to eat it!!!!!

He landed them both in the same net. The last picture is

unbelievable."

wow... i was fishing last summer and had a 6" perch hooked that was attacked by a good sized pike.... I though that was cool, until I was these pics.

I posted these pics a few months ago being told the same story. Had heard they were actually from Europe. T-rig ended up giving us the dope on them. I'd have to go back and look, but I believe He said they were actually from a lake in Denmark or Sweden. He posted a site from one of the lakes over there with different pike catches, and they were HUGE! I'll see if I can find that old post.
