Going to Ocean City MD, need advice

Heading for Ocean City with the fam, next week. While they're at the beach I thought I might give some of the pier fishing a shot. I have no idea what to bring in the way of tackle, hooks, artificials, etc.  I'm sure I could rent stuff, but if I already have it, why rent it.  What species should I target, and when.  I have a couple of Musky rods as well as some larger cranks and spinners.  Any advice would be appreciated.
