6 Total Flounder (Only 2 Pics)

Featured Replies

Went to the beach this weekend for a little Flounder fishing.  Had a pretty good time, with all fish being caught on either live Mud Minnows behind Carolina rigs or a small Berkley paddle-tail swimbait on a jighead.

A lil' 8 or 10" Flounder caught on the Berkley paddle-tail swimbait mentioned above

This one is 17" also caught on the Berkley paddle-tail swimbait

Nice Flounder. What beach do you fish at?

Im just curious, but what is considered a "keeper" flounder?  How big do they get off the beaches?

The mimimum size is 14" in NC. The state record is over 20 lbs, but a 5 pounder is a nice fish and anything over 10 is a hawg.

Nice dude!

I'm actually sitting in a hotel room in Wilmington as I type this.

     Thanks fella's.

I fish at Topsail Beach 99.9% of the time.

A keeper flounder for NC is 14" for the beach and 15" or 15.5" (I can't remember which one) for the ICW

Yeah it's a nice little fishing village.  Thankfully it hasn't turned into a little island that has a million people on year round like Mrytle beach or some place similar.

We stay on 4th St. at my grandmas house.  Do you stay at a hotel or at a house?

man seein those flounder brings back memories of fishin the piers at the beach...good times

Nice flounder.  I caught my first back in September.  It was about the same size as the one in your first picture.  I caught it on a DOA shrimp, that was clear with a orange tail fin.

I wish the halibut out here were as easy to catch as the flounder out there. Nice fish btw
