Ok so ive been crappie fishing alot on a private pond and i wanted to know where they like to hang around what lures they love and suck. Ive caught mine on a neon green beetle spin with a silver blade and i think my biggest was a huge white maybe a pound a pound and a half. Their beautiful fish and they fight and taste good too

Crappie are vertical oriented fish, and stack up under pilings and docks, but that doesnt mean you cant catch them on or around other structure like laydowns and dropoffs, it depends on what is available to them in the pond. Try fishing a small grub or tube on a 1/16 or 1/8 oz jighead and work it in different depths to locate the fish. You should be able to snag some fat females as they are preparing for the spawn in the next few months. If the pond is creek fed you should be able to find them stacked in the channel soon too

Ok thanks yeah its creek fed i guess? Theres a bigger pond above it and a water fall with a small creek but i never caught then under a dock maybe it was brush but i was just casting in one spot maybe they were schooling cause i caught them in 3 cast in a row
