are you guys saving your trout guts for catfish season ???? trout guts are a VERY good bait , been catching alot of cats lately 

It is illegal in california to use gamefish or parts of gamefish as bait.

Wow thats a dumb rule, fish eat other fish, that is nature, not the PETA modified version of nature...

keep using the guts and just tell the park rangers/fish and wildlife people it is cut up chicken parts  ;D

Yeah its a dumb rule if you dont like protecting gamefish. Of course what he is doing is not wasteful, but if that rule was not in place, there would be nothing to stop people from using live steelhead, or even a complete dead one to catch stripers. Or  Cutthroat to catch Browns, etc.

the park rangers don't trip on it , i always ask them if some people have caught limits of trout and have they cleaned them in the clean out room there at the lake ....
