Anyone use Osprey Swimbaits?

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone on here could give me some feedback about the osprey swimbaits looking at maybe investing in the one's that come with the treble hook. Can anyone give me some info on these?

A proven bait. Not high on the realism or durability factors. Very well poured though. They make a few different styles of baits. I dont throw the treble baits anymore, as I have the 3:16 Rising Son and K9.

There is just something about these things that gets murdered! The Osprey Tournament Talon 6" is a sweet mid depth bait (6'-30') and is better for slow rolling through cover and rocky structure due to the top hook.

very similar. they all have comparable action. the rising son is the slowest sinking bait of all time, so it runs from the surface (try a buzzbait type retrieve ) down to a couple feet, the k9 sinks pretty quick but had a bottom treble so is better for mid column 5-25ft. the osprey will run well mid column too, but it really shines in bottom contact/cover situations.

The rising son has the liveliest tail, then the k9, then the osprey.
