my buddy just got into fishing and at the end of his backyard there is a 10 wide canal but it is about 15 ft deep. i see small bass, panfish, and gar swimming around. i know there are some lunkers in there..

what weedless lures should i try?

Love fishing those.I can offer a few suggestions.

Trickworm weightless or with a small nail in the rear end because it's hard to go wrong with that in Florida.

Weightless zoom flukes.

Ribbit frogs,rage tail toads,rage shads,early and late.

Weightless senkos.Why? Because they work everywhere.

10 inch ribbon tail type worms weightless.I prefer Yum brand or a big black culprit brand 12 incher.

If it is choked full of weeds you guys may need to look into using baits texas rigged to "punch through" the junk.Especially if there are hyacinths.
