Crank Bait's At Night

Featured Replies

Just wondering if any of you throw deep diving cranks at night and if so should i throw a dark color or should i just stick with a shad color?

I would think something that moves a lot of water and has rattles

A DD22 is my go to bait at night, (providing the fish are feeding on or near the bottom). Green pumpkin is the one I throw in the dark. Always. Not many people throw deep cranks, even in the daytime and there's even fewer people that throw them at night.

Whenever I pull up on a point, it's the very first bait I throw. I just throw it shallow, reel it slow, get it bumping slowly along the bottom until I get it out to about 8 ft and then I speed it up, keeping contact with the bottom as long as I can.
