ABA Regional Locations Announced

Featured Replies

ABA has announced the locations of their 2007 Regionals. One of them happens

to be in my back yard. Finally a big tournament that isn't a 12 hour drive from home.

You fish the ABA?  I will hopefully be fishing in that regional tournament on the Mississippi.

Yeah, I fish some of our local ABA tournies. I had a horrible year this year though.

I never could put anything good together on the Mississippi.

Good Luck, maybe I will see you on the river.

You coming up to the early one on Mississippi Pool 4? I think it's the first weekend in May.  Check the Minnesota districts, it's the one run by Jeff Dixon.  It's the regular ABA and not the BASS Weekend Series.

No I won't be driving up for that one.

I am pretty sure I have one that weekend.

If you need any help with finding lodging, etc

for the Regionals, let me know and I can get

you some phone numbers and locations.

Sound good.  To bad that won't happen for another 9 months. ha ha.  I hate winter sometimes.

J.T., You live around the Quad Cities?  If so need some info on Lodging.  Nothing fancy just a good safe place for my boat, hot shower and air conditioner.

Thanks

I will get you a list of names and numbers of places to stay this evening when I get home.

Ps: I doubt you will need an air conditioner here at the end of September.  lol

As you can guess, I am getting asked a lot about lodging in my area. As

a result, I typed up a list of places to stay. I will just paste them below.

I have never been to most of these establishments and can not comment on any of their services or hospitality. We have tons of lodging on both sides of the river (IL and IA). I just picked the above mentioned motels because they are some of the closest to the marina on the Illinois side. There is a nice hotel in downtown Rock Island that is only about 5-6 minutes from the ramp, but I do not think you could park a boat trailer there very easy. It would be great for non-boaters as far as the location. It has changed names a few times, but I think it is a Holiday Inn now.

Call the telephone numbers and ask all of your questions before you book. That way you

can have a better idea of what you are getting. There are also some smaller (low budget)

places in the area, but I did not list them. Be sure to ask about boat parking. I am pretty sure that most of these places housed anglers from the FLW and Bassmaster Tours when

they were here, but I can not give any specifics.
