My friend Is looking for a non-boater to sign up with him for the bassmaster weekend series okeechobee division 6...........they launch at okee-tantie and hes looking for some one to sign up with him to fish the rest of the season........there are 4 tournaments left one in feb one in march one in april one in oct...............pm me if oyur intersted and il give you his number...........hes knows what hes doing to he used ot guide on the lake

Okeechobe is in central florida south of Orlando (about 160 miles). The non-boater entry fee for the weekend angler tournaments are $100.00. I have not fished the lake before so thats about all the help I can give. I here its a great lake and alot of shows are taped on it. It's Roland Martins home lake.

Being that Avid lives down the road from Okeechobee Im gonna speak for him and say that he knows all about the lake....I think he wants to know where the Okee-Tantie ramps are.

He wants someone to sign up wiht him fo rthe rest of the division not just one tournament

2nd tournament is feb 11th

3rd tournament is mar 4th

4th tournament is apr 29th

and the 5th tournament is the divisional championship witch is a 2 day tourney and thats oct 6&7th

you have to be a B.A.S.S member and a A.B.A (american bass anglers) member.....A.B.A is 25 dollars to join and I forget how much bass its and each tournament is I think 105 if you register online and 100 if you register by phone and the 2 day tourment is 150.......you also dont fish with the guy you sign up with it just guarantees you a spot in the tournament...the night before the tournament at the meeting thier is a random drawl witch shows who your are gonna be fishing with ....you talk to them , find a place ot meet in the morning and what not.............and the meeting hte night before is at the V.F.W  I think and thats 10 minutes from Okee-Tantie......adn if oyu need somewhere to stay....Okee-Tantie is a campground adn if your a tournament angler its only 18 dollars a night.....or you can just get a hotle in town........................heres a map to okee-tantie

Actually no.

I called him.  Very nice guy, but he made it clear what the rules were.

It seems we would NOT be fishing together.  I would sign up with him and this would guarantee us a spot but them Iwould have to be at a drawing the night before and fish with whoever I drew.  So this would mean an overnight motel stay in addition to entry fees to fish with some guy I don't know.

Not what I was looking for at all.  I merely wanted to fish a couple of tournaments with a guy I got to know at least a little, and have the experience.

Art would have been perfect.  We had a great conversation and I'm sure Iwould have enjoyed fishing with him.  But once he explained the details, I declined.
