You're young.  Value your youth.  Blink your eyes a few times it will all be over.   :-/

Here in the upper mid-west, January is about the time that withdrawl sets in and I start dreaming about soft water. Just be glad that you can find a shady spot to stick a few even during the hot months and don't have to put it all away for several months each year.  That's when the forum becomes my only link to reality.

january is coming up here for me here in alabama as well i'll be on the aba only i dont go through with draws lol i just go fishing i dont care how hot or cold it is

First, keep fishing all year, even if it is from the bank of a pond.

Second, set some goals this winter, such as reading one or two fishing books; organizing your tackle; cleaning the boat; purchasing a few DVDs or videos on fishing specific types of biats and/or techniques (Ike's productions are outstanding); attend a fishing show or seminar in your area; and clean and repair your rods and reels.

I love the winter as it gives me time to watch the football games and start getting ready for next year.
