New Light weight tournament shirts

Featured Replies

I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could get one of the new light weight touranment shirts. I noticed most of the FLW pros were wearing them at the tournament last week and they appeared to be very light weight. I wouldn't mind ordering my next ones like that. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it. Thanks

Getting the names and stuff put on, it will run you roughly $500.  For real.  all files need to be converted, etc.  The shirt alone is about $80 I think.

That sounds high. They just looked screen printed to me. I know all about the converting of files and that shouldn't be were the cost is at. It might not be screen printed but it looked like it. You wouldn't happen to know where to get one of the shirts would you?

well, that's just it.  they aren't screen printed, it is an electro-static process and converting the files runs roughly $50 ea.  They are guaranteed to never wear off or crack like typical screen printing.

Ok that makes more sense. Still high though. But they do look good and look very light weight and cool for those hot days. Thanks

And they are anti-microbial.  I bet the price will come down once they become more mainstream.

I wear a light weight cotton t-shirt to tournaments :P

I'll get something better when I get a sponsor or two.

Looks like the same company that made our Mizzou paintball jerseys made the above one.

I know there is no way we paid 500 bucks for them.  We did a team deal and they sponsored the organization that we played under though.  I think we paid 50 bucks or something like that.  This was a long time ago too.  Maybe Animal was trying to get their name out there as well.  I didn't even know they made angler jerseys until I was looking for the link because I thought it might help.

That's them and the $$ comes in when you have 10-20 different sponsors who's loos need to be converted.  Converting 1 or 2 for a paintball team and then printing out the shirts in bulk certainly is cheaper but ordering 1 or 2 shirts, with all new artwork, can get pricey.

If you look at the samples, you can see the other 2 we had done also.  These were made for the 2  RI jrs and their director for the TBF world championships.  One of the pics there shows Joel being interviewed by the local news :)

This is probably true.  I have played for paintball teams where we had 7 or so sponsors on our jerseys but our team manager and our sponors designed the jersey and we didn't have to pay for it so I have no idea the costs. Mizzou was not one of them.  Either way, Animal is an awesome company and I might just have them make me up a basic predesigned jersey for next season.

Actually, Gemini Sports Marketing has the shirts you are talking about for a lot cheaper. The process is called sublimated graphics as well. Their shirts are about $100 and $25 for a one-time set up fee. Good stuff.
