Anyone made it into Elites as co-angler????

Featured Replies

I'm considering registering for an Elite Series event as a co-angler for '08.

Anyone done it? If so, was it worth the money? Did you feel like you had a legit shot to fishoff the back deck, or do the pros make it hard on you?

Also, I am not a BASS Insider or Life member. They get fisrt crack at the registration. Do I even have a shot to get in without one of those priority deals?

Thanks,

SC

There are two guys in my club that fished co-angler at the Elite on Smith Mtn (Va.) this year, both of which are pretty good fisherman. One of them said it was worth the money, the other said it wasnt. I dont think either one of them fished with any of the bigger name pros though.

One thing I do know is that if you are serious about it you should find out when registration is and have your mind made up a day or two ahead of time and be ready to call the minute registration opens up or see if you can register online. (I think you can)
