River Rumble relocated!

Featured Replies

This is what bassmaster.com says:

Recent unsafe conditions on the Mississippi River have prompted BASS to relocate the Bassmaster Elite Series' River Rumble presented by Longhorn, set for June 26-29 and originally scheduled in Fort Madison, Iowa, to Old Hickory Lake and Hendersonville, Tenn. The new event, renamed to the Tennessee Triumph presented by Longhorn, will mark the eighth Elite event of the season and will take place on the previously scheduled dates.

And I thought I was going to go to this one...darn.

Better to be safe than sorry.

And people up your way are having an awful time withe the flooding and tornados so it is best to relocate the tournament.

I am sure the tournament will return in one or two years and you can go to it then.

BASS XL,

I feel your pain. I live in Des Moines and had every intention of being there.

But, BASS is making the right decision.

Yep. I pray for the best.

I was planning on driving down for that weigh-in as well. As of the last I heard, that portion of the river was still shut down to boating because of the flooding. I live on Pool 16 of the Mississippi River and we just crested here yesterday. It is still about 6' over flood stage.

OHL sucks IMHO. I live 45 minutes away, and I won't go there unless I have a tourney.

It will be  a good test for these guys though. Should be a buch of small limits.

My guess is a 14-15 lb average over four days will win it. There will be lots of 8-12 lb sacks, but big ones will be hard to come by.

I may go out there and follow them around some next week.
